All classes meet the Emergency Cardio Care (ECC) / Red Cross guidelines.
KOPFC is an authorized American Red Cross provider. Red Cross requires a minimum number of people be enrolled in order to hold a class, along with this the minimum age requirements must be fulfilled. Participants will be given these requirements upon registration. Refund Policy states that you must call at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled time to reschedule or request a refund. If you fail to come at the scheduled time and did not call at least 24 hours in advance, no refunds will be allowed. .First Aid and CPR for the Professional / AED Class This class is designed for anyone to take, the work place professional or even if you just want to be First Aid and CPR certified. This class is scheduled for the first Friday and Saturday of each month. For this class the participant can take just the First Aid or the CPR class.

The fee for this class is $80.00 or $64.00 w/current KOPFC membership.
The fee for 1st aid only is $41.00 or $33.00 w/current KOPFC membership.
The fee for CPR/PR/AED only is $69.00 or $55.00 w/current KOPFC membership.

Class Dates for First Aid & Professional Rescue CPR: Jan 6 (6-10PM) / Jan 7 (8AM-Noon), Mar 2 (6-10PM / Mar 3 (8AM - Noon), May 4 (6-10 PM / May 5 (8AM - Noon)

Class Dates for First Aid & Community CPR: Feb 3 (6-10PM) / Feb 4 (8AM-Noon), Apr 6 (6-10PM / Apr 7 (8AM - Noon)

CPR/AED and First Aid Challenges Participants who hold a current Red Cross CPR and / or First Aid certification may challenge their skills by taking a written test passing with a score of 80% or greater followed by a practical skills test. If you pass both tests you will be Red Cross CPR/AED and / or First Aid certified for another 2 years. CPR challenges are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month starting at 5:30 pm. Times will vary, your scheduled time will be given at the time of registration.

The fee for this challenge is $46.00 or $37.00 w/current KOPFC membership.
CPR Challenge dates: Jan 4, Feb 1, March 7, April 4, June 6.

Babysitter's Training This is an eight-hour course designed to teach youth, 11-15 yrs of age, the responsibilities and qualities of a good babysitter, and what to expect from the person who hires them. Basic childcare , first aid, safety issues and injury prevention are some of the skills that are taught. This class is scheduled on a quarterly basis. The Winter 2012 quarter will be scheduled for March class schedule TBA. The fee for this class is $54.00 and $43.00 w/current KOPFC membership.

Lifeguard Training This class includes CPR/PR/AED training. Minimum age for this class is 15 years old. Participant must pass a pre-screening swimming test to get into the class. Each class runs for approximately 32 hours, 100% attendance to scheduled class is required. Our next series of classes will begin in January and conclude in May. The fee for this class is $194.00 and $155.00 w/current KOPFC membership or $90.00 with pre-approved contract..

Water Safety Instructor Training (WSI) This class teaches and certifies participants to teach the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program that is used at KOPFC for our outstanding Learn to Swim Program. Minimum age for this class is 16 years of age. Participants must pass a prescreen swim test to get into the class. The fee for this class is $174.00, $139.00 w/current KOPFC membership or $90.00 with preapproved contract. Our next class will be scheduled for March / April 2012.
