You can build a list of your daily activities and calculate the calories burned for the day or, by holding down the shift key and clicking on an activity, Fitness Coach will tell you how long you need to do that activity to burn a pound of fat! Fitness Coach also has many different fitness assessment tools. Calculate your percent body fat or your Body Mass Index. Calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate or calculate the number of calories you need to eat per day to attain a particular body weight. Calculate your target heart rate (several different ways), or calculate you daily protein requirement. After you've trained, enter data or just your thoughts into the Training Log. |

Whether you work with free weights, Soloflex, Nautilus, Bowflex, or other systems, Fitness Buddy will design a program to build bulk or strength based on your training background and current capacity. Work through the easy-to-use wizard, filling in your age and weight then noting your current capacity for single reps of a number of familiar exercises. When you've completed the wizard, the program presents a schedule for a four-week cycle of workouts. Each scheduled day, you get a recommended weight, reps, and sets to reach your goals. When the four-week cycle is over, complete the wizard again to build a new schedule. You'll be seeing results in no time. |

It contains no advice or guidance on diet planning but does offer a database of nearly 6,000 food items. You scroll or use the find feature to jump to the food items you eat, then drag and drop or double-click to enter them in your daily menu. A report summarizes your food and beverage consumption, with breakout of calories by fats, carbs, and protein, along with details on cholesterol, sodium, and other nutrients. You can modify serving size and track additional nutrients manually. And to speed your meal tracking, you can build a favorites database that organizes the foods you eat and the quantities served most often. A physical snapshot feature lets you measure and record health and fitness parameters such as weight, pulse, measurements, or whatever you choose. Four users can be supported.
